Some individuals are reluctant to engage in therapy
because of the cost involved. Many are not aware
that most insurance policies provide coverage for
therapy. I participate with many insurance
companies, as well as managed care companies
and employee assistance programs. This means
you may only have to make a co-payment from
$10.00 to $60.00 per session or, with employee
assistance programs, no payment at all for a
specific number of sessions. If you are not using your
insurance then the Self Pay is $220 for Intake
and follow-up sessions are $170 for 45 minutes,
$195 for 60 minutes, and an additional 15 to 30 minutes
of therapy is $50 to $100 respectively
Knowledge is power, so contacting your insurance company with
questions about coverage for individuals or family therapy can be
done by using the Member Services phone number on the back
of your Health Insurance card. Many health insurance cards
will have a "COPAY PCP/Specialist" and the amount of the
copay for each category on the card, counseling is typicaly
considered a "specialist" category.
To make your payments for sessions you will need a credit card.
After your therapy session Angela Dooly, Practice Manager
will send you an invoice using Square to your email. If you need to use
anouther means of payment, you may be required to pay for sessions
in advance.
